The UC-100 USB motion control system allows you to convert the antiquated DB25 parallel port of the G540, or CNC breakout board, and converts it into USB format. This allows you to use any Windows based computer to control your CNC motion control system with Mach3 motion control software. All of Windows operating systems are supported be it Windows 7-10, in both 32bit, and 64bit formats. You can use any Windows PC

If you choose to control your system with a parallel port using your G540, or CNC breakout board you must use a Windows PC with parallel port ,and Windows XP 32bit computer, or Windows Vista 32bit computer as they are the only ones compatible with Mach3 in that format.
I highly recommend if your budget supports it to go forward with your control technology, and not backward.
