This Fireplace Mantel is created from medium density fiberboard also known as MDF. MDF is a composite wood and is commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, shelving and decorative moldings. Mantel ships in three pieces: two legs and one header. The legs attach easily with nuts and bolts. Three-piece mitered scribe molding set included to hide gaps after installation. Mitered hanger boards are included for easy installation to your mounting surface. Consult a professional for hanging hardware to ensure a secure and safe mount. 1-1/2 in. projection off of the wall leaves space behind the mantel to accommodate tile, stone. Wood is combustible and heat clearances must be adhered to. Consult a professional before installing.
Pre-finished for instant use; alternatively, sand and prime if another color is desirable
