  • Condition: Very Good condition for age. The Auto-Wheel tricycle by Coastal Company in North Tonawanda, New York has never been restored. The bell has its original clapper -- and rings! Wheels move smoothly. Label on front with Coastal Company name is legible, as are the red stripes and words on the wooden seat "SPRING SEAT". Many decorative yellow lines remain intact. Bright wheels. Handle grips may or may not be original. Refer to written description and photographs for details.

    Up for auction at the Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio is an
    Antique yellow-wheeled child’s pedal tricycle
    with the famous wooden Coaster Company “SPRING SEAT” is an early
    Auto-Wheel
    “big wheel” made by  Coaster Co., Inc., in North Tonawanda, NY. Original label is on the front and is legible:
    AUTO-WHEEL  COASTER CO., INC.  NORTH TONAWANDA, NY
    The seat retains most of its original red stripes and readable words,
    SPRING SEAT
    . The bell on the front has its original clapper — and rings!  Thin yellow decorative lines, located on either side of the big wheel frame, are bright and intact. The wheels are hard rubber and smoothly turn. Definitely rideable! Perfect for any antique decor. Fine display for holidays, lodges, store windows, or as a movie prop. The tricycle has never been restored. Circa: 1910-1920.
