2011 was the first year that the US Mint struck bullion American Silver Eagles at the San Francisco Mint. It was the 25th year of the wildly popular American Silver Eagle series. The coin has been graded near perfect MS69 by NGC, who also celebrated their 25th anniversary that year. In honor of the occasion, NGC rolled out their old 'retro' black holder from the early days. The holder sets off the brilliant silver eagle beautifully.
