Description

Less than 100 were produced over 2 years and very few have survived. I spoke with a man that has had one since it was new and he said there are 5 left that he knows of. This boat is fitted with an Aerojet Marine motor and all its accessories. In 1957 Yellow Jackets continued with the inboard theme, but the Crosley engine was stood up vertically with an outboard conversion leg that went through the hull forward of the transom. That model didn't last long because the engine couldn't be tilted and it was deeper than the full inboard. This rare1955 Yellow Jacket was restored by Onion River Boat Works in Vermont. The owner, Ken Bassett has a reputation for his quality craftsmanship. After completion it won 1st place in Class E at the Weirs boat show. During the restoration several engine modifications were done including the newer type shifter springs, rubber trunion bearings supporting the propeller shaft and a new fluted cam shaft cover. The boat has had very limited use since then and has been a crowd pleaser at many boat shows. All the hardware is correct and either buffed and polished or re-chromed. A NOS Sun tach sender replaced the original intermittent one and a bilge pump was replaced.
No disappointments or excuses.Dick 207 975 5767. I may be able to help with delivery as we have a place in FL and we drive there.
