    Description

The 1955 Half Dollar is the lowest mintage coin of the short lived Franklin half dollars.
Less than 2.5 million Franklin Half Dollars were struck in 1955, and only at the Philadelphia Mint.
After just 16 years of production, the series was stopped to honor President John F. Kennedy after his assassination.
This made the Franklin half one of the shortest-lived series of the 20th century- a key coin to any collection.
Each coin is minted from 90% Silver and is presented is an acrylic holder with a Certificate of Authenticity.
