    Description

1870 Judd 885 Pattern Quarter in Copper
This absolutely stunning example of an off-metal pattern is housed in an old-time "rattler" holder, with CAC approval.  No worries about fast turning copper or "doctoring" with this piece.  The obverse depicts a William Barber portrait of younger seated Liberty. The reverse is the same used to produce 1870 Seated quarters. Struck in copper. Reflective fields and sharply struck devices display rich reds, oranges, and even greenish hues across remarkably pleasing surfaces for the grade.
